Mother’s day is coming up soon, and if you’re like most people, you’re probably scratching your head trying to figure out a nice gift or gesture for your mom. You know she doesn’t need more junk in that house, and taking her out to lunch can be an exercise in stress and frustration. Why not book a professional portrait for her and the family? You know she’s been bugging you for some recent photos, and those snapshots you took at your cousin’s wedding five years ago are pathetic, and you know it. Now is a great time to finally get that professional portrait made, whether it’s of her and the extended family, or just you and your kids to give to her. Any way you want to frame it, we can make it happen.

If you book your portrait session anytime between now and May 13th (even if the actual shoot is at a later date), we will include a studio session, online proofing gallery, and a $50 print credit for $175. That’s right, skip the three-packs of gender-neutral yellow onesies and blankies. The Transformer™ style baby seat/jet pack/walker has already been spoken for by her sister in law and independently wealthy husband, and in case you didn’t realize it, most of those stuffed animals are going to do nothing more than collect dust and create future allergy problems. CMA’s Wedding Picture Project

The museum is inviting members of the public to share a wedding or commitment ceremony photograph taken around the museum’s grounds and in the Fine Arts Garden, and I’m encouraging all of my past clients who have had photographs taken at the museum to submit their images for this project. If you need a digital copy of one of your photographs for the contest, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to provide that.

Your photograph could be included in the museum’s archives, blog and Facebook page, and if you submit your photograph before March 14, you’ll be entered to win a romantic weekend for two in University Circle. The weekend will include a private, guided tour of on-view highlights of the museum’s permanent collection, dinner for two at L’Albatros, an overnight stay at Glidden House, tickets to another University Circle institution of your choice, a framed photograph of you and your partner, and transportation provided by Company Car & Limousine throughout the weekend.
